All NOPL branches have paper registration forms available and information about how to register to vote or update your registration.  If you use a paper voter registration form, it must be completed, signed, and dated, then mailed or delivered to your county’s Board of Elections office, not the library.

Voter registration forms must be received by a board of elections no later than October 26, 2024* to be eligible to vote in the General Election. Click here to view the New York State Board of Elections website’s list of voter registration deadlines and deadlines for making changes to your registration. You must also be a registered voter to be eligible to vote in the NOPL Budget Vote/Trustee Election on October 9!

*Please note that voter registrations made through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) should be completed by October 25, 2024.

You can visit the Onondaga County Board of Elections website to see voter registration eligibility requirements, check if you’re registered, find information about how to register or update your registration by mail, links to register online through the Department of Motor Vehicles* or New York State, a list of locations to register in person, plus more details and FAQs.

You can also download a voter registration form or submit a request for one to be mailed to you at the Onondaga County Board of Elections website or call the Onondaga County Board of Elections at 315-435-8683 to request a form.

(Oswego County residents can visit the Oswego County Board of Elections website for information. Residents of other counties should check with their county Board of Elections office.)
