NOPL and OCPL staff members recently displayed their original visual art works in the 2024 CNY Arts’ On My Own Time exhibits! The program invites local businesses and organizations to exhibit employee art works at work sites each spring and summer to celebrate the creativity of our community’s workforce. The employees produce their art as an avocation, “on their own time”.
Many staff members don’t know about their colleagues’ artistic interests and talent before they exhibit in OMOT. OCPL’s branch and member staff have the opportunity to participate through Onondaga County.
NOPL’s own Shay Harris (Graphic Design & Social Media Coordinator) displayed several of her works at the joint City of Syracuse/Onondaga County exhibit in Syracuse City Hall recently, along with OCPL’s Hannah Bewsher, Ossie Edwards, Joan Peters, and Katherine Untiedt!
A selection of works from each of the 15 participating organizations will also be part of the On My Own Time group finale exhibit at Everson Museum of Art from October 5 through November 10, 2024. There will be an opening reception at the Everson from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on October 10. Find details here
