Libraries have always been more than books! They are community hubs, sharing resources and connecting people to information, ideas and each other. Our new EV charging stations are another step toward embracing sustainability and innovation. We invite you to make the most of your downtime during the charge by exploring everything the library has to offer—from story times for kids to workshops for adults—while your car powers up.

Using the Flo charging station is simple:

1. Locate the Station: You will find the charging stations conveniently placed in our parking areas at NOPL Cicero (8686 Knowledge Lane) and NOPL North Syracuse (100 Trolley Barn Lane).
2. Activate Charging: Download the Flo app on your smartphone and create an account. You can also use an RFID card if you have one. Drivers pay for their charge through the Flo app or their RFID card—The one thing we can’t loan is energy!
3. Plug In: Connect your vehicle to the charging station using the provided cable. Ensure it is securely attached.
4. Start Charging: Use the Flo app or your RFID card to start the charging process. The station will display the charging status and estimated time
5. Monitor Progress: You can monitor the charging progress on the app, which will notify you when your vehicle is fully charged or if there are any issues.
6. Complete the Session: Once your vehicle is charged, unplug the cable, return it to the station, and make sure to end the session on the app or with your RFID card.
