Part-Time Library Clerk – NOPL Cicero
NOPL Cicero has openings for 2 part-time Library Clerks. Each clerk will work 20 hours per pay period, including weeknight and Saturday hours, with more hours available on occasion.
Qualifications: This position is classified as a Library Clerk I position via civil service. Current placement on the list is not required.

Volunteering

Northern Onondaga Public Library’s Volunteer Program is intended to expand and enhance public service to the community. Volunteering offers residents an opportunity to contribute to the community, fulfill personal goals, and learn more about the Library. Volunteers generally work on special projects, events or programs. Volunteers will not be used to replace the work done by paid Library staff.

A volunteer is identified as a person who offers to perform a task or service freely for the Library without compensation or benefits.

    • Outreach Services Internship
    • Public Library Practicum – a little of everything!
    • Youth Services Internship
    • Special Projects Internship. Work with an ongoing project or service. Some examples:
      • Work with our Outreach Librarian and travel into the community with the Pop-Up Library
      • Growing the LibraryFarm (Cicero Branch)
      • Help with promotions and video production (Communications Dept at our Cicero Branch)
      • Developing programs and ideas for the Discovery Den (North Syracuse Branch)
    • Propose a project. We’re always trying to learn and improve, and a project that interests you may be something that will help us do our jobs better or enrich services to our communities. Talk to us! If we like your idea we’ll ask you to write up a brief description and submit it with your application.
